The first week of the school year started with the toot of a horn - a ram's horn that is. With Rosh Hashanah right around the corner, the students began the school year with their exploration of the holiday. The students investigated items associated with Rosh Hashanah like honey drizzlers and shofars, read stories relating to the holiday, and gobbled up challah dipped in honey for snack time. The highlight of the week was the annual visit by Rabbi Fried of Chabad of the West Side. Rabbi Fried brought a collection of shofars to share with the children and blew them to show how each one sounded. Thank you Rabbi Fried for the fun and loud visit!
