Last week, there was a blizzard in New York City. The snow has given us the opportunity to learn about snowy weather.

We went on our rooftop surface to play in the snow.

We also spent time in class exploring ice. In one class, the children were given ice cubes with letter beads and animal beads. They noticed how they could break the ice with mallets. They also saw how the ice turned into water as it melted.

In our Science class, the children learnt about how snowflakes are created. They also learnt that each snowflake is made of a unique pattern. They then had the opportunity to make their own unique snowflakes out of paper.
